Veronika Ćiković (Rijeka, 1997) is an active solo, chamber and orchestral harpist. She holds a Master’s degree from Academy of Music, University in Zagreb, where she graduated in 2020 with distinction magna cum laude under professor Diana Grubišić Ćiković. At the same university she is currently pursuing a specialist postgraduate programme (French harp music from the first half of the 20th century) under professor Mirjam Lučev Debanić. As a soloist she has performed with Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, Rijeka Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra of the Zagreb Music Academy. She was awarded Dean’s award for her solo performance of Danse sacrée et Danse profane by Claude Debussy with Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2022. she has performed on Croatia’s most well known classical music festival -Dubrovnik Summer Festival where she and Lucija Stilinović performed Mozart Conerto for flute and harp KV 299 under the baton of Maestro Dawid Runtz, chief conductor of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra. As a soloist and in a harp duo with Brin Bernatović she has won first prizes on national and international competitions (National Competitions of the Croatian Association of Music and Dance Pedagogues, Concorso Internazionale Giovani Musicisti Premio “Antonio Salieri”, Bistrički Zvukolik, Concurso Ibérico Madrid). She has performed in masterclasses with renowed professors and soloist such as Patrizia Tassini, Irina Zingg, Petra van der Heide, Coline-Marie Orliac, Ion Ivan Roncea and Karen Vaughan. In 2016 she attended Harp Masters Academy in Switzerland. In 2018. she has successfuly auditioned for Mediterranean Youth Orchestra (Orchestre des Jeunes de la Mediterranee) where she played under the baton of maestro Kazushi Ono.
