The International Harp Contest
From 1 to 5 September in the Sala Verdi of APM will be possible to attend the harp contest, which is structured in 5 categories of lever harp, pedal harp and Duo with harp. It will be an unique opportunity to listen to harpists from different countries, which will also play freely chosen programs, including their own compositions and Italian music. There will be 28 rooms to practice and many kinds of professional harps. We offer a discount for applicants in more than one category. If you register for the harp contest, you will be also registered as member of the Italian Harp Association and become several benefits.
Dal 1° al 5 settembre nella Sala Verdi dell’ APM sarà possibile seguire e partecipare al concorso, diviso in cinque categorie di arpa celtica, classica e duo con arpa. Un’occasione unica di ascoltare arpisti provenienti da varie parti del mondo nell’esecuzione di programmi in gran parte a libera scelta, comprendenti anche proprie composizioni e brani del repertorio italiano.I partecipanti potranno disporre di 28 aule per lo studio e potranno scegliere tra vari modelli di arpe da concerto meravigliose rese disponibili dalla Salvi Harps. Sconti a chi si iscrive a più di una categoria e Association card in omaggio.

Prizes / Premi
All participants will receive a Salvi Harps gift and a participation diploma. The total prizes value is 25.000 €, including: a professional hand painted lever harp, recording of a CD for the prestigious label Tactus, scholarships in the amount of 3.700 €, vouchers in the amount of 1.400 €, seven remunerated concerts (Firenze, Milano, Bologna, Venezia, Taggia, Piacenza, Saluzzo) and a special prize “Mirella Vita”.
Tutti i partecipanti riceveranno un omaggio Salvi Harps e un attestato di partecipazione. Il monte premi del concorso è pari a 25.000 € e comprende un’arpa celtica professionale dipinta a mano, la produzione e registrazione di un CD per la prestigiosa etichetta Tactus, borse di studio per 3.700 € , buoni acquisto per 1400 €, sette concerti premio retribuiti (Firenze, Milano, Bologna, Venezia, Taggia, Piacenza, Saluzzo) e un premio speciale “Mirella Vita”.

Tours to the Victor Salvi Museum and the Harp Factory
Visita al Museo dell’Arpa Victor Salvi e alla fabbrica delle arpe
The Victor Salvi Museum is located in the former territory of the Saluzzo Marquisate, in the Varaita Valley, and is the first and unique museum totally dedicated to the harp. It houses a collection of 110 ancient harps. During the Festival, 2-4 and 5 September, a free shuttle service will take the participants for a tour of the Museum and Harp Factory (reservation will be necessary). On September 4th , Mara Galassi will conduct a guided tour.
Il Museo dell’Arpa Victor Salvi situato nella terra che fu del marchesato di Saluzzo, all’imbocco della Val Varaita, è il primo e unico museo al mondo dedicato interamente all’arpa. Ospita una collezione di oltre 110 arpe antiche. Durante il Festival, il 2-4 e 5 settembre, un servizio navetta porterà gratuitamente i partecipanti a visitare il Museo e la fabbrica, previa prenotazione. Il 4 settembre Mara Galassi effettuerà una visita guidata al Museo.

The International Harp Contest “Suoni D’Arpa” will take place at the Fondazione Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale di Saluzzo, and is a reference point for international masterclass, new musical technologies. It hosts one of the most important European institutes of musicological research. The School offers to the contestants 28 rooms, the beautiful Sala Verdi for the auditions, and the opportunity to live in the residential area (45 beds). The price of the room is 25 € for night with breakfast.
Il Concorso Internazionale Suoni D’Arpa si svolge nella Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale di Saluzzo, una prestigiosa istituzione che promuove la cultura musicale, svolge attività formativa di primo livello, anche sulle nuove tecnologie al servizio della produzione musicale e ospita uno dei più importanti istituti europei di ricerca musicologica. La Scuola rende disponibili 28 aule per il concorso, la Sala Verdi con annesso studio di registrazione per le audizioni e gli alloggi della foresteria a soli 25 € colazione inclusa.

The Festival and competition is a wonderful occasion to meet friends and learn about other harp schools. In the last edition we had the pleasure to host 89 participants from 15 different countries.
Nella scorsa edizione del concorso hanno partecipato 89 arpisti da 15 paesi diversi. Una grande occasione per ascoltare varie scuole e stringere nuove amicizie.
